Welcome to jsickler.com. I work in dry-brush acrylic paint on textured paper and illustration board. I then scan the paint into photoshop where I assemble the image. My finished pieces always look exactly like my sketch, and, because I work in a digital medium, I can easily make changes anytime- even after the artwork has been completed. I submit all of my finished pieces digitally (electronically or on a cd). I work in the same style and medium when doing kid's stuff and grown-up stuff. I find that having a youthful and simplistic approach to artwork is naturally appealing no matter the age of the viewer. I also love lettering my own text. I have been professionally producing nationally distributed illustration for six years.
